Title: “Multiple functions of AcCystatin, a cysteine proteinase inhibitor from Angiostrongylus cantonensis, in angiostrongyliasis”

On Friday, June 5, Assoc. Prof. Zhiyue Lv, parasitologist from Sun Yat-Sen University in China, conducted a talk about his research on angiostrongyliasis, and the functions of AcCystatin on this infection. Angiostrongyliasis is caused by the Angiostrongylus cantonesis, common throughout Southeast Asia, and infects many people each year. The Chinese authorities are currently investing many resources to increase our understanding and treatment of this parasite, and Assoc. Prof. Zhiyue Lv opened for expanding the collaboration between Sun Yat-Sen University and FTM. The Faculty would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Zhiyue Lv for a very interesting presentation.
